All applications for Student Pass and visa /dependence pass/ extension of passes must go through ISC. Please do not go directly to the Malaysian Immigration Department to avoid complication of visa application processes between ISC and the department.

Please note that international students and dependents must not leave Malaysia within the first 6 months after registering as a UKM student.

Students from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Commonwealth Independent States (CIS) need to go through these procedures before entering Malaysia:

• Once offered a place by UKM, you are required to contact ISC immediately to apply for a Visa With Reference, known in Malay language as Visa Dengan Rujukan (VDR).​

• ISC will process this application to obtain the VDR from the Malaysian Immigration Department. This will take approximately 14 working days. The completed VDR will be emailed to you.​

• Obtain Entry Visa from the Malaysian Embassy in your country.
